Atsushi IKEGAMI Atsushi Ikegami is a Senior Research Fellow at the Japan Defense Technology Foundation (DTF), a Non-Resident Fellow at the Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI) USA, and Senior Research Fellow at the National Security Institute of Fujitsu Defense & National Security. His work focuses on defense industry policy, R&D investment strategies, and the impact of emerging technologies—particularly AI and autonomous weapons—on future military operations and arms control. He previously headed the Defense & Geopolitical Research Unit at Fujitsu Research Institute, where he conducted policy research for Japanese ministries on operational concepts, defense industrial policy, and export control. His work has appeared in Defense Technology Journal, Newsweek Japan, and Sankei Shimbun, and he has given invited talks at DSEI Japan, the Japan Institute of International Affairs (JIIA), and other defense forums. He holds a Master in Public Administration from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Keio University. |
